Never Have I Ever…..
…..witnessed lines like this at the Dekalb Farmers Market. 12/22/23. I’ve been here many a Christmas Eve and never saw this. Lucky for us, it’s a nice day.
Ten minutes later…
The line is moving. I’ll let you know what the hold up is pretty soon.
And once in, the place is running like a well oiled machine.
This is an annual tradition; our pilgrimage to the DeKalb Farmers Market for all our Christmas Eve needs. The family tells me their favorites. My son and his fiancé loves the mortadella for sandwiches and fresh challah bread for French toast. My daughter and her fiancé are asking for “ all things Polish “
The best thing about the market is their large deli, meat and seafood departments. Everything is fresh and everyone is there for the same reason.
That common customer bond makes the experience worthwhile. You share your reviews and comments with friendly patrons and workers.
Today, I witnessed a diversity of happy people who were in the holiday spirit. No pushing, shoving, arguing.
My mom was right. Food has a way of bringing the whole world together.
