Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.

They belonged to my daughter at first. She bought them with birthday money when she was about 13. They just came out and she had to face them since everyone else at school had them.
She had them until college when she decided to leave them home. That’s when I started wearing them and it was love at first step. She told me to keep them while she eventually bought another pair.
That one pair of crocs lasted nearly 15 years. In 2016, I underwent foot surgery and was told NEVER to walk around barefoot or in socks. I was to always have house shoes. The crocs were perfect ; slipped on, sturdy if you bumped into something, perfect for gardening and going to the gym( shower shoes ).
During Quarantine 2020, I didn’t wear any other shoes.
The day I almost slipped and fell in a parking garage lot let me know they wore down. It was time to retire them. So, I did what anyone else with do.
I bought three more pairs. One for indoors, one for outdoors and one pair to wear when I get my nails done.
